When to visit Ecuador: The busiest times to travel are June to September and December to January, although generally speaking Ecuador is a year-round destination.

Weather: The climate varies greatly through the country and depends on the position of the location in relation to the Andes. The wettest months in the Amazon are March to September. The highlands are wettest October to November and January to May.

Main Attractions: Quito is an interesting city but it is also worth exploring the countryside. Cotopaxi and Otavalo are great areas to visit from where you can hike, ride and see local markets. A trip to Ecuador combines well with a visit to the Galapagos Islands or Peru.
