Entry requirements: Canadian and US citizens do not require a tourist visa to visit Colombia.
Passports are required to have adequate unused pages, at least 2 pages are recommended. Passports are also required to have at least 90 days validity following the end date of your trip. It is recommended to have at least 6 months validity left on your passport at all times.

When to visit Colombia: Most people visit December to February during the drier months. Christmas can be very busy. Heavy rain can fall at any time in any place but can often be a relief when weather is hot.

Weather: Climate depends on altitude. The deep valleys of the Magdalena River are hot all year. As altitude increases the temperature drops.

Festivals: Medellin has an annual flower festival every August with parades and music.

Main Attractions: Bogota is an interesting city and has a fantastic Gold Museum which is well worth visiting. Cartagena is also worth a stay and there are some beautiful beaches.
