During this 8 day Route of Wine and Cuisine Tour you will visit Argentina's wine regions in Mendoza and Cafayate. You will learn the techniques used in both regions and enjoy some wine, fine dining and stunning landscapes in the process.

Sample Itinerary

mendoza tourDay 1 | Mendoza
Arrival at Mendoza. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel before an afternoon city tour around Mendoza and the surrounding areas.

Day 2 | Mendoza
Departure towards one of the wine producing areas of Mendoza and visit the winery Norton. There, you will learn about Malbec and its development and aging before reaching the market. Later you can act as a winemaker to select wines to produce a unique blend. Then the jury will choose a winner among the best and labelled wine. Enjoy lunch in the restaurant of the winery. After the excursion transfer to a winery lodge.

Day 3 | Mendoza
Day at leisure to take an optional activity. We suggest visiting Uco Valley. In this area you can enjoy a traditional excursion visiting three wineries with lunch and wine tasting in two of them or if you want to experience Mendoza, go horseback riding or enjoy a massage near the vineyards.

salta tourDay 4 | Mendoza - Salta
Morning at leisure and after lunch (not included) transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight to Salta. Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure to take an optional excursion. The MAAM Museum is a must.

Day 5 | Salta - Cafayate
Early departure from the hotel to enjoy a gastronomic experience in Cafayate. On the road you will visit the Quebrada de Cafayate also known as Las Conchas River Gorge, with reddish sandstone walls and curious rock formations that have been masterfully carved by the erosion of wind and weather. All these formations have been baptized by locals according to their fancy shapes. Once you reach Cafayate enjoy lunch at a restaurant. Visit to El Esteco winery to get in touch with the traditional production techniques. Accommodation at a winery lodge.

cafayate tourDay 6 | Cafayate - Salta - Buenos Aires
Morning at leisure to visit the town and The Wine and The Grape Museum. Departure to Salta with lunch en route. Transfer to Salta airport to board the scheduled flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival at Buenos Aires. Accommodation.

Day 7 | Buenos Aires
Morning city tour visiting the most interesting places in Buenos Aires city followed by lunch at Puerto Madero to taste the famous bife de Chorizo. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, enjoy a wine tasting followed by a Dinner and Tango Show.tango show and dinner

Day 8 | Buenos Aires
Morning at leisure. At noon experience these culinary delicacies just as Argentines usually do. Learn some of the myths and truths of Italian food that is part of their identity like the tango and soccer. Visit some of the historic pizzerias such as Banchero, located in the neighbourhood of La Boca and the inventors of the Fugazzetta (pizza filled with mozzarella), Guerrin and Las Cuartetas located on Corrientes Avenue and El Cuartito that combines two passions of Argentines: pizza and football. Return to the hotel before transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight.
