Day 1 | Arrive in La Paz
Early morning arrival in La Paz. You are greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the morning and afternoon to acclimitize and rest. Afternoon city tour of La Paz and the Moon Valley. Hotel.

Day 2 | Tiwanaku Ruins
These ancient ruins, once the capital of the Tiwanaku civilization, developed around 700 AD. During its greatest time, the capital of Tiwanaku was the largest in the world and considered to be “The Cradle of the American Civilization”. The Aymara people were excellent artisans who have left a series of mysterious monoliths, most of them are in granite. Visit the Akapana pyramid, the Kalasasaya and the Underground Temples, aqueducts and the famous Gate of the Sun.

Day 3 | La Paz to Puno
Bus service departing La Paz to Chua where you will board the cataramaran to the Sun Islands. After a tour, board the catamaran and continue to Copacabana and then by land to Puno. Hotel. (B,L)

Day 4 | Sillustani Ruins / Uros Islands
Morning visit to the floating reed islands of the Uros. In the afternoon visit the Sillustani Ruins, an ancient cemetery, which contains cylindrical stone tombs built by pre-Incas who inhabited this region. In the afternoon,

Day 5 | Puno to Cusco
Transfer to the train station in Puno for a full day journey to Cusco. Late afternoon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Hotel. (B, L)

Day 6 | Cusco
Morning tour of Cusco and its nearby ruins including, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman and Puca Pucara, the amphitheatre of Kenko, and the Inca baths of Tambo Machay. Hotel. (B)

Day 7 | Cusco to the Sacred Valley
Morning departure from Cusco for a drive through the valley to Pisac, where you will have the opportunity to bargain with the vendors at the typical market. After lunch at a local inn, visit Ollantaytambo, the Inca fortress, and walk through the quaint streets of the nearby town. Overnight in the Sacred Valley. [On days when the Pisac market is not open you will visit the extensive Pisac ruins]. Hotel. (B,L)

Day 8 | Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Early morning transfer to the Ollanta train station. Train service to Machu Picchu, “The Lost City of the Incas”. Guided tour of this marvelous citadel. You’ll visit the main plaza, the royal quarters, the Temple of Three Windows, the circular tower and the sacred Sun Dial and burial grounds. Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 9 | Machu Picchu to Cusco
We suggest you rise early this morning to admire Machu Picchu at sunrise, a truly mystical experience. Morning at leisure to continue exploring or perhaps attempt climbing Huayna Picchu. Afternoon train to Cusco. Transfer from the Cusco train station to your hotel. Hotel. (B)

Day 10 | Cusco to Lima
Morning transfer to the Cusco airport for the flight to Lima. On arrival in Lima, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Pachacamac Ruins, south of Lima and the fascinating Archaeological Museum. Hotel. (B)

Day 11| Depart Lima
Morning transfer to the Lima airport for your departure flight. (B)
